Emergency First Aid at work

If you are an employer you have a duty of care to provide adequate and appropriate first aid facilities to protect your employees from injury or illness. By having someone trained in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFaW) your business satisfies this duty of care.

The EFaW is a one day course (previously known as the "appointed persons" course) will provide delegates with the knowledge and confidence to provide first aid support in your workplace.

Emergency First Aid at Work

The course covers the following topics:

  • Health and safety (first aid) regulations
  • Managing the incident
  • First aid priorities
  • Treating an unconscious casualty
  • Resuscitation
  • Shock
  • Bleeding
  • Common workplace injuries

Delegates are continually assessed during the session by our qualified and experienced tutors. Successful candidates will be provided with an Emergency First Aid certificate (which is valid for 3 years).

We hold "public" courses from our training centre in Enderby, Leicester. Alternatively, if there are a number of employees needing to take the Emergency First Aid at Work course we can, facilities allowing, carry out the training on-site.

Courses start at 09:30 and finish at around 4:30pm. Lunch and refreshments are provided during the session.

We charge £129.00 including VAT per delegate, group discounts are available, call 0116 200 1866 for more information.
