Exam Format
Two papers: a multiple-choice test and a case study. Both are taken online from home under remote invigilation. You need a computer with webcam, microphone, and stable internet.
Exam Frequency
Road Haulage exams run monthly. Passenger Transport exams run every two months. View upcoming exam dates →

Both exams: £307 (add to your order at checkout). Resit fees: £236 for both papers or £151 for a single paper.

Is this the same qualification as the classroom course?
Yes — all routes lead to the same CILT-awarded Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence. The qualification is identical regardless of how you study.
How long will it take to be exam-ready?
Most students need around 3 months of regular part-time study. You have 6 months of portal access, so there's plenty of flexibility to work at your own pace.
What can I do to give myself the best chance of passing?
Work through every module, use the online portal to test yourself, and consider adding our Drivers Hours & Costings Prep (£48) and an Exam Revision Session (from £90) before you sit the exam. Students who use these targeted sessions alongside the home study materials perform significantly better.
Can I book the exam later?
Yes. You can add it to your order now (£307) or book separately when you feel ready via our exam bookings page.
What if I want more support after I've started?
You can upgrade to our distance learning or online course at any time. We'll credit what you've already paid towards the new course — so you lose nothing by starting here.
What if I don't pass first time?
You can rebook — £236 for both exams or £151 for an individual resit. Your portal access continues until the 6 months are up. Many students who don't pass first time add a revision session for their next attempt and pass comfortably.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Yes, but additional postage fees apply. Contact us before ordering and we'll quote for your location.
Can I use this qualification for an O-Licence?
Yes, the CPC qualification is mandatory for anyone applying to become a nominated Transport Manager on an Operator Licence in the UK.
