Exam Format
Two papers: a multiple-choice test and a case study. Both are taken online from home under remote invigilation. You'll need a computer with webcam, microphone and stable internet.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between home study and distance learning?
Both use the same printed materials and lead to the same qualification. Home study (£130) is materials and practice portal only — you study independently. Distance learning (£849) adds 6 months of personal tutor support with marked exercises, digital notes, the audio revision library, flashcards and both exam fees.
Is this the same qualification as the classroom course?
Yes — all our routes lead to the same CILT-awarded Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence. The qualification is identical however you study.
How long will it take?
Home study students typically need around 3 months of part-time study. Distance learning students usually finish in 8–10 weeks. Either way you have 6 months, so there's no rush.
How does the tutor support work?
On distance learning, you complete exercises for each module and submit them through the portal. Your tutor marks them, gives written feedback — usually within 48 hours — and highlights anything to revisit.
What's in the audio revision library and flashcards?
New for 2026 and included with distance learning: audio covering every syllabus module (24 for Road Haulage, 26 for Passenger), plus active-recall flashcards for each module, available immediately on the portal.
Can I start with home study and upgrade later?
Yes. Upgrade to distance learning or our online course at any time and we'll credit what you've already paid — you lose nothing by starting with home study.
Can I book the exam later?
Exams are included with distance learning. On home study you can add them at checkout (£307) or book separately via our exam bookings page when you feel ready.
What can I do to give myself the best chance of passing?
Work through every module, test yourself on the portal, and consider our Drivers Hours & Costings Prep (£48) and an Exam Revision Session. Students who use these targeted sessions perform significantly better.
What if I don't pass first time?
You can rebook — £236 for both exams or £151 for a single paper. Your portal access (and tutor support, on distance learning) continues until your 6 months are up.

Distance learning can be spread over 3 monthly payments of £283 with Klarna at checkout. We can also invoice businesses — call 01530 834 554 to discuss.

Can I use this qualification for an O-Licence?
Yes — the CPC is mandatory for anyone applying to be the nominated Transport Manager on a Standard National or International Operator Licence in the UK.
