Be honest with yourself: Home study has a lower pass rate than our tutor-supported courses. Without someone marking your work and spotting gaps in your knowledge, you won't know if you've truly understood the material until exam day. If you're not confident studying alone, consider our distance learning course instead.

The honest summary: Home study is great value if you're a confident self-learner. But the tutor support in distance learning genuinely improves your chances of passing first time – that's why the pass rate is higher. If you fail and have to resit, the saving shrinks quickly.

Yes – all routes lead to the same CILT-awarded Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence. The qualification is identical regardless of how you study.

It varies. We recommend 3 months of part time study. You have 6 months of portal access, so there's flexibility.

We don't have exact figures for home study as we can't track outcomes the same way we do for tutor-supported courses. Nationally, self-study pass rates are significantly lower than structured courses – that's why we recommend being honest about whether this approach suits you.

You can rebook, its £236 for both exams and £151 for an individual resit.. Your portal access continues until the 6 months are up. If you'd like tutor support for your second attempt, we can discuss upgrading to distance learning.
